Seamless Steel Pipe Manufacturing Process
At Manisha Steel Centre, mill manufacturing process of seamless pipe starts with choosing the raw material i.e steel billets which are then heated and pierced to make a hollow pipe.This is then succeeded by elongation, whereby through rotary piercing or extrusions; the billet is further stretched to produce a pipe.
The tube is further cold worked through a series of elongation and reduction in size to the required thickness through pilgering or extrusion. Then for increasing its strength and durability, the pipe is put through heat treatment. Moreover, it undergoes other products that include straightening, which involves cutting and surface treatment that conforms to specific applications.
